Entrourage won't send email - authentication required comes up

All of a sudden I've stopped being about to send emails with my
Entourage account. I'm still receiving emails--so far--but can't send
any. Whenever I try to send an email I get a message box that says,
"Error: Authenticatin required."

Does anyone have a clue what to do? I HATE this email software! MS
Office and Entourage are a joke.

If this is for an earthlink.net mail account, go to Tools > Accounts, click
the "Mail" tab, open your EarthLink account, and check your settings:

Receiving mail:

Account ID: [email protected]

Sending mail:

SMTP server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
- Click here for advanced sending options -
ˆ SMTP server requires authentication
ˆ Use same settings as receiving mail server

I hope that helps. If you're using an e-mail account from a different
provider, check their website to make sure you're using the correct account
settings.

If you are using a laptop, when you change location, the internet
service may not allow you to use your email service. I have this
problem with SBC. I can send and recieve everything from work, but at
home I get the same message that you are getting for some accounts.
Some internet services do this to prevent SPAM.
