Hi everybody,
my problem is the following:
I have just installed Office XP on my PC.
When I display on screen a document containing mathematics,
equations appear "foggy": they do not display as sharp as the
regular text. Moreover, large brackets appears splitted in two, with
a void part in their middle. It is not just a problem with display,
since they are printed badly, too.
However, when I edit the formula, by cliking on it and opening Equatio
Editor, the font does change, and I see the whole expression
correctly formatted.
I mention that Office was installed on top of a prior Word 97. This to
had recently problems concerning equations visualization: "math"
fonts were replaced by "wingdings" ones.
It might look like a font problem, however, when I open the sam
document using OpenOffice, it displays and prints correctly. I suppose
that both Word and OpenOffice use fonts from the same pool, hence
this should rule out this hypothesis.
I thank everybody for your attention and any suggestion.
