Erase News Headers in Entourage 2004?

Hello

The longer the list of news messages in a news group comes, the longer it
takes until Entourage 2004 reacts when I click on a news group to download
new messages. At least I think that this is the reason for the delay, who is
up to 6 - 8 seconds in a group with over 11'000 messages.

So I wonder how I can shorten this list and get rid of these headers of old
messages. Tried to delete them, but the delete command is dimmed.

right-click on the _server icon, not the newsgroup icon, and select 'Empty
Cache'. Next time you connect to the server, the mostrecent headers will be
downloaded, up to the limit set in the account settings (300, IIRC).

Unfortunately you can't do this on a group by group basis.
