Err Msg 'Outlook.exe has generated........'

OL2k, IMO - part of Office2k prem - updated
Win2k updated

Have recently started receiving this err msg on closing OL.
No software/hw changed, only win2k critical updates
Problem was initially intermittant, now constant.

Have tried all the following without result:-
OL Detect/repair
MS kb 297010
Uninstalled/Reinstalled
Uninstalled, Deleted OL reg entries, reinstalled
Uninstalled/reinstalled Vid drivers and tried updated ones
New pst

I must have missed something?

Any Outlook add-ins installed? If so, try disabling them.

Done that, tried with disabled - only NIS spam and OL Backup addin, also
tried uninstalling the addin apps.

try a reinstall of Outlook Express. Outlook shares files with OE, in
particular, when in IMO mode.

Do your log files give any indication of the cause of the problem?

No
Also tried running through Dependancy Walker, indicated a vid dll problem,
which is why I uninstalled/reinstalled vid.drivers. also tired older and
newer versions

See is switching to CW mode makes any difference.

As a further update, if I leave OL open for a while, then close it often
closes without an error

Something not fully initialising it seems. What you have tried is
exhaustive. I have no further ideas.

Yes, what I was thinking, I believe its addin related specifically NIS -
though I have tried removing the addins. I'm awaiting a response from
symantec.
