My copy of Outlook 2000 recently stopped sending some (but not all)
receipts. I receive the following error when trying to send a receipt:
The message oculd not be sent because it rejected you as the sender. Server
Response: "552 sorry, your envelope sender address, <>, does not match the
domain you authenticate with (#5.7.1)'. (Account:Lev', SMTP Server:
'mail.seltzer.co.il', Error number 0x800ccc78).
Everything had been working fine for many years, and all-of-the sudden I now
have errors. Not only that, but some of my clients (who also use Outlook
2000, and also use the same mail server) also have this same problems. So
when my client sends me an email with a read receipt request, the read
receipt does not leave my outbox. Likewise, read receipts of MY messages do
not leave his outbox.
My hosting provider says that this is not their problem, and that they have
not changed anything recently.
I am at a loss now. Does someone have a suggestion on what I can do to try
to correct this problem?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
