Error 170 when setting up Exhange 2007

My exchange account is working great on my PC and on my Pocket PC, but
Entourage is giving me the error 170 every time I try and set it up. I have
tried 3 times now with no success. It worked fine under the old Exchange
settings but I was upgraded to 2007 just recently. I am using a hosted
provider 4smartphone.com and they are saying it is NOT a server issue as the
other means of syncing work fine.....
Research gives very little clue to the 170 error in Entourage.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Legacy suport has to be active on the server:

You'll need to contact an administrator to make sure it's on on the
server,

Here is the response I got from them when I asked.....

________
While we will look into it, we want to set your expectations properly.
We will not do any server side change, because we have many Entourage users,
and you are the only one having this obscure problem.

As we told you, we have noticed (and saw on forums) that Entourage suffers
from identity corruption, especially when changing Exchange server and the
only workaround that we know of is to delete and recreate the identity.
________

I have completely deleted my server settings in Entourage and started
over.... However I did NOT delete my other POP email accounts that are in
Entourage currently..... But that should not make a difference. How could I
be the only one having the problem?
Thanks in advance!

________

Because you're using an Exchange Server you can disprove their suspicion
about identity corruption by switching identities and recreating your
account. Switching identities will not bring over rules, tasks, notes,
signatures or other preferences you may have set but it will bring down
your server-side mail, contacts and events. If this works then you may
indeed have some corruption in your database.

To switch identities select Switch Identity... from the Entourage menu,
create a new identity and then set up your Exchange Server account again.

Hope this helps!
