I am getting this message since I upgraded from 2004. I have tried using an address that was accepted in 2004. I tried this same address several times and just cannot get around it.

Suggestions?

using an address that was accepted in 2004. I tried this same address
several times and just cannot get around it.

Check that the address hasn't gotten malformed. It may have a space
somewhere or odd character. If necessary, recreate the contact record
without using copy/paste.

You might also try clearing the Most Recently Used list under Entourage
menu --> Preferences... --> Mail & News Preferences --> Compose -->
Clear list button.
