Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I would like to know if there is anything to be done about this. I have to solve this. I am considering going to another client, though this would not be idea. I looked at thunderbird today. there is not a way to easily bring my extensive library of email archives to it. Frankly, I feel like because this is microsoft, it should work, and I should not have to go to a 'free' program. I bought this because it is supposed to be able to handle the pressure of professional use. I have lost a series of emails that were sent to me today. and I have also lost a whole day on this. if someone tells me that upgrading to 2008 will absolutely fix this problem, I would like to know. I have been on the phone with the server provider. it really seems to be a microsoft issue. if there is something better, I would like to know it. any and all suggestions welcome. thank you!

What application created your "extensive library of email archives" and
from where are you trying to import them?

Also, your subject mentions "error 17895" but you never mention anything
about it. Is this related?

Dear Bill,

thank you for your message of reply. the error is what I was trying to escape. It finally ended, but there are several lost email messages still. I don't know if or when they will ever appear. the extensive email archive is on entourage. If I have a similar circumstance occur again, I may try to go to thunderbird, or some other application. I would like to know what if anything can handle professional email. I left apple mail long ago because it could not handle large numbers of emails kept in my inbox.

I got that error too yesterday. Found them in my outbox. I had a wrong
email address entered. Once I deleted them/corrected the email address,
life was good and the error message left! Jimmy.
