I am getting this error after I converted my account from POP to IMAP so I could use mobile me. How to I fix it?

This is the exact message:

Error
[ALERT] Fatal error: No such file or directory

explanation
Mail could not be received at this time.

Account name: "jefftaylor"

how do i correct it?
