Error 3120 - cannot find specified server

When I initially installed MS Office, Entourage set itself up as my
default e-mail program and I received mail. At the time, I wanted to
continue to use Mac Mail so I switched my default e-mail back to Mac
Mail. Now, I'm trying to set up Entourage again and I keep getting
error 3120 with the accompanying message "The specified server could
not be found." I've gone through a live chat session with the
earthlink folks and they seem to think it's an Entourage problem.
I've checked and double checked all my settings, logged on telnet and
deleted all the messages there, but I still can't get it to work. Any
suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Entourage is working fine with my EarthLink e-mail account. Check the tips

Did you make sure your account details in Tools -> Accounts look like this,
replacing [email protected] with your e-mail address?

Under "Click here for advanced sending options," make sure the option for
"SMTP Server Requires Authentication" is turned on, with the "Use same
settings as incoming mail server" option selected.
