Error -3260...

Jim

Just applied the 10.1.4 upgrade and now I can't connect to the server.
I used to at least be able to read new email messages. I tried deleting
the account and starting over from scratch with the "new exchange
account wizard." In auto-mode it seems to do just fine. I enter my
username and password only, and after a brief time I see "Entourage has
successfully configured your exchange account." Then I just get errors:
Error - An error occurred on the IMAP server
Explanation - A connection failure has occured

I get error # -3260.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, TIA,
Jim

IMAP most likely is not enabled on the server.

I'm thinking you're right.

I talked with my network admin, and he's not sure if IMAP is running or
not on our Exchange 2000 server. I saw some talk on www.macintouch.com
that shutting off the "SMTP Server Requires Authentication" option in
the sendmail section would fix the -3260 error; but it doesn't work for
me.

But now I'm left wondering why I could get mail off the server before I
updated the client?

Oh well, looks like its back to using the web-based client.
