Error 5.7.1/5550 Not able to send email outside company

I'm trying to use Entourage instead of Outlook on my Mac.

Outlook works great except that I have to load OS 9. ugh!

I'm in an exchange server enviroment. Running the the
exchange version of Entourage and os 10.2.6.

I can send an interal email with no problem. But when I
try to send to the outside world I can't get explanation
5.7.1 server refuses to allow you to end mail. Error 5550.

I can't find any information on the Microsoft web site
that is helpful. If you know of a web site please give the
exact address.

Anyone been able to work this issue out?

This is the info that we have on the error page:

A message in your Outbox could not be sent using account "xxx." The server
did not recognize the recipients or the server refuses to allow you to send
mail.

Explanation:

Relaying is prohibited

Go to Tools -> Accounts, and open your Exchange account. Click the "Mail"
tab, and then click the button for "Advanced Sending Options". Toggle the
option "SMTP server requires authentication", and click OK. That might fix
it.
