error 5530 relay server

I have problem when try to send email outside the network, when use
the diferent ISP, inside the network we dont have problem and we
receive email from different ISP. When we try to send email to other
ISP the program return return the following error 5530 relay server
can not send email.-

Make sure you're always using the SMTP server belonging to the ISP to which
you are connected.

I am currently experiencing this problem as well. After talking to my
system administrator it appears that they applied the patch version 6.5 of
Exchange.

The problem of error 5530 is dealing with authentication.

My specific problem is that we have used authentication and SSL on all SMTP
mail. It appears after applying the version 6.5 Exchange patch, the
authentication methods changed so that Entourage no longer can connect with
the SMTP server.

What my admin said is that when you have authentication turned off, the
Exchange servers will send mail within the organization, but block mail sent
to outside as that is a problem for open relays.

Anybody know the details of what authentication scheme Entourage uses and
why after this patch Entourage doesn't work?

Toggling the "SMTP server requires authentication" setting in Advanced
sending options of the account settings may fix the problem.
