This hasn't come up enough that I even remember it being discussed. If you
could provide more details of how you are attaching. What version of Office
you are using. How large is the Word document. Does this happen with all of
your Word attachments? Does it contain attachments etc. We might be able to
come up with a possible cause.

Thank you Diane, for responding. I think that I am using Office X,
and when I called Entourage for help they suggested this webpage
because they couldn't help me. It only happens sometimes (maybe 25
percent of the time or less), but it is for small word documents (only
a couple pages or less). Any ideas on why?

Under Entourage in the menu bar, select "About Entourage" It will tell you
what version you are running. You can also download this script that will
tell you what each Office application version is:

I suspect this might be a Word problem, so I suggest moving this thread over
to the Office or Word newsgroup where the Word gurus can help out.
I'm cc the Office group on this.
