Error: Could Not Open Macro Storage

G

Gwynne

My template contains the same VBA code that some other of
my templates contain. However, I receive the error as
follows:

Run-time error 5981, Could not open macro storage.

What does this mean and how can I get rid of it.

TIA

Hi Gwynne,
My template contains the same VBA code that some other of
my templates contain. However, I receive the error as
follows:

Run-time error 5981, Could not open macro storage.
There are various reasons this could appear. Go to the
Knowledge Base under Support on the microsoft website and
search this error text for "all products" and you should
turn up a few hits.

In this particular case, there's a good chance the internal
binary structure of the template file has been damaged.

I have found that the message often means a missing/broken reference in the
project.
Hold down the Shift key when opening the template, then take a look at the
References to see if any are missing.
