Whenever there's an error checking any of my pop accounts (usually yahoo...)
Outlook will bring up an "Enter network password" dialog box. (At least this
is the error in the yahoo case.) Exiting the dialog and re-trying download
with F9 almost always works fine - probably just a busy server responding in
a funny way.
The problem is when the machine is un-attended. Once this dialog appears,
Outlook will no longer check any email accounts. This causes my accounts
accrue messages until they are full, and of course rules (including
forwarding rules) will not fire, etc., in addition to the annoyance of
having to download 100's of messages when I return.
Is there any way to change this behavior??
thanks
