error installing handheld conduits "microsoft component plugin"

I have a new iBookG4 with MS Entourage. I'm trying to install the
handheld conduit available from the MS website. Each and every time I
try to install the process bombs out at the end with an error message
that the program could not locate the microsoft compoenent plugin. I
am totally new to Mac -- is there any simple solution?

What version of entourage? There are differences in the conduit for vX and
V2004. If you are using v2004 use the conduit on the install CD, not the
downloaded one.
