I upgraded my mcafee and now I can't access my email. I continue to get the
message" the connection to the server has failed.... no socket error 10061"
Please someone help. It has to do with the mcafee (by the way the ill not
even answer my request for help) because I could get my email just fine
before I put the software on this morning.

Disable McAfee's integration with Outlook and try again.

I have no idea how to do that. I went to the websites (they are great, I
wish I had known about those a month ago) but, I couldn't find the answer.
It is probably there I just am not sure what I am looking for.

I've got no idea either; I don't use their products. Most often it is an
installation option or a setting in the configuration manager that comes
with a security suite. Look for something like mail scanner or POP3 protocol
scanner.
