Error message in PPT

I have a Dell M70 with pre-loaded ms office pro 2003. I am recording a PPT
slid presentation and doing voice on most slides. Each presentation is about
6hourrs long. I need to take breaks and when I save (or try to) I get this
message (most of the time) ... PowerPoin t can’t access
C:\Docume..\Temp\PP614.Wav because the file or folder is read-only. What am
I doing wrong? Is there a setting I am missing? I have looked up error
messages at the PowerPoint FAQ list but have not found this one.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Thanks Steve; I had another "Murphy" experience today...hate to have one
named after me :) I have plenty of hard disk space and all I do is record a
slide then exit and attempt to save...sometimes it saves no problem other
times that error message comes up. Frustrating because I have to correct or
re-make a slide because info changes then I can not save.

Hi Steve, I do quit and come back in. I was re-starting from a short cut,
but kept getting the error message. I then quit and went in from my
dockument, but the problem still exists. How do I find this WAV file and
delete them? I tried search and used *.wav but the list is so long that I
can't find what I need. I have looked for a temp file that the error message
gives but was unable to locate that specific file.

Hi Steve, Thank you for your help so far. I changed the search criteria and
found what I think is the file in a hidden folder. This AM I recorded that
slide with no problem. I checked the PPT program properties and neither the
hidden folder is checked nor is the Read Only checked. The Archive is
checked, should I un-check that box? I used … instead of ~ symbol because I
was lazy :(
Since I am finished with that section I will have to start another section
to see if it re-occurs after I delete this file.
Thank you again for your help

The error message references:

C:\Docume..\Temp\PP614.Wav

The extra dots means it's leaving something out.
In other words, a typical Windows error message.
Tells you everything but what you need to know to fix it. <g>

I'm guessing that with the missing bits filled in, it's got the file in:

C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Local Settings\Temp

Have a look there. You might want to delete any files you find there and in your regular
temp folder as well before trying again.
