Error Message: "Your email must be sent as Unicode and not all ..........

I get this message when replying to some emails in Entourage 2004. I
am not including an attachments nor did the original message have any.
The body of both emails is only text. The email I received came from
the same ISP as mine Comcast.net.

I have seen this message in replies to other messages and just ignored
it. The Help and Knowledge base don't seem to address this error
message.

What is the error and what is and what does Unicode do?

Unicode is required to support some extended characters. The original mail
you are quoting (or the reply itself) might contain some extended characters
that often require Entourage to send as Unicode (eg: the ellipsis).
Unicode is just an alternate methode for coding characters. Unicode supports
a LOT more possibilities that the various ISO flavors used fro plain text.
