Error No: 70; Description: Permission deniedInitialise

Hi

A VB application manipulating Word comes up with the above error, which I
have never heard of (nor has Google).
It is a "Microsoft Word" error box.

My VB app is error trapped to the line, but no errors are trapped.

Puzzling with the Non US spelling of initialise, I would have expected
initialize!

Any ideas from the experts?

TIA

Error 70 is a built-in 'permission denied' error. But the form of the
message you quote -- and, as you note, the non-Vespuccian spelling --
indicate that what you're seeing is an error raised by code triggered by
launching Word or opening a document (or whatever your VB app is doing).
Check for macros in Word itself (AutoRun or AutoOpen or ThisDocument
events) -- these might be in normal.dot, or in an add-in being loaded
automatically.

Thanks Jezebel

The final VB action is to run a word VBA macro to re-launch the form which
started the whole process. I'll look closely at that, maybe after nmerous
iterations of this loop I can recreate the problem.
I should add that this is only appearing intermittantly, weeks into testing.
I have searched the VB code and there is a Proceedure Initialise, which sets
up pointers from various sourcses but is far removed from where Word is
involved. As you will guess from Proceedure I am in an initialise
environment!

Tks
