On a wi-fi broadband connection, an error has occurred on
outlook express and internet explorer, the error message
is:
"the host 'pop.ntlworld.com' could not be found. Please
verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com'.Server:'pop.ntlworld.com'.Prot

OP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSl): No, Socket Error 1104,
Error Number: 0x800CCCOD"
and the same again for another mail account, but with
socket error 1101.
I still have a dial up connection which works fine, but I
cannot get mail or the web when I use my wi-fi broadband
connection. I have found something on the knowledge
database listing this problem which says that the port
for incoming mail - 110 is blocked or unavailable - but
the solution I cannot understand. Can you help??
I have xp home, and outlook express6.
