Error printing to HP Designjet

If we want to print from MS Project STD 2003 to a HP DesignJet 1050c printer
it says that it's status is not available. If we use other program for
instance word or excel it does work.

What seems to be the problem...

When you go to File/Print, does the printer show up in the Print dialog?
