Error receiving mail from main Hotmail account.

Help please! I'm using Entourage 2004 11.1 and I recently started having
problems receiving my default Hotmail account email through the inbox. The
junk mail comes through, but not the inbox.

Any time I try to receive it me this error:

Error:
An unknown error (-50) occurred.

Explanation:
Could not retrieve mail.

Account name: "[email protected]"
-------------------------------

I think it may be related to me going away for a week, leaving my usual ISP
connection. I'm not sure. I've been looking for this error in several web
sites and here in the newsgroup but have been able to find it yet. Does
anyone know what this is? Also, my secondary folders are downloading all
the email again...what's going on there?

Hi Tricia,

I am having exactly the same problem, except I have just installed
Entourage 2004. This seems to be happening across two different Macs
(Imac & PB 4.0). Basically I can download a portion of my mail before
hitting this error message. i get the message even if I restart
entourage/the mac. The only way around seems to be to move the messages
that are next to be downloaded into a new folder using the hotmail web
interface. Then it starts working again, but eventually hits another
message that it can't download.

It doesn't seem message specific, however, because some of the
"offending" messages CAN be successfully downloaded from these new temp
folders. It's all very bizarre.

Appreciate any help. (Using 11.1.0 also)
