Dan
I'm baffled by this weird behavior and would appreciate any insight. When I
exit Outlook, a large white rectangle appears on my desktop, sometimes it
pushes my desktop shortcuts out of the way and sometimes it just covers them
up. If I open another program that covers this white rectangle and then exit
that other program, everything returns to normal. It seems like Outlook isn't
quite closing; i.e. some piece of it continues to display on the desktop. It
doesn't happen with any other program.
Some other info:
1. I constantly run Norton antivirus and keep it current
2. I run two different spyware programs at least once a week and let them
delete whatever they detect
3. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office as well as deleted and recreated
the user profiles in Outlook
4. If I minimize Outlook, there's no problem. It just happens when I exit.
5. OS is XP, SP1
Any ideas?
