Error while archiving

I am using Outlook 2000 under windows 2000 and I cannot archive two of my folders. I get the "some items couldn't be copied. They were either moved or deleted, or access wa denied
The archive is a .PST file that is small, one is 6 meg one is 26 meg
I get this message when it autoarchives or if I manually archive using the Archive option on the menu

Can I simply use drag and drop to manually move the messages to the archive folders as a last resort

You can try, but you may still get the error. Have you tried running the
Inbox Repair Tool on either or both of the .PST files?

Thank you for the response.
I did not know such a tool existed, I will try it.
Performing the manual drag-drop I discovered that files with attachments (only) induced the error and I also found that if I simply attempted to drag it again that it finally worked, after 1 to 4 additional attempts.
I never get the error with files without attachments.
