Hi All,
I have a customer running Office 2000 for Word, Outlook, Access and
Powerpoint and Office 2003 for Excel.
He has told me that after a while of running Excel, when he tries to copy
even 1 single cell, it hangs the machine for approx 20 seconds and then lets
him get on with it.
I had an initial look and stopped his AV program scanning any files to do
with Excel (I'll put that back in later). I also closed down ActivSync,
installed MS AntiSpyWare(Beta) and ran a full scan with the latest
downloaded software for it (it came up perfectly clean).
After doing all of this, Excel seemed to let you copy cells immediately
again, so I thought the problem was resolved, but after 20 minutes or so, it
reappeared.
So we tried closing ActiveSync and restarting Excel without it running, but
it still took 20 seconds to copy 1 cell before releasing the cursor.
Anyone else come across this or anything similar
It can't be the machine as it's a P4 3.6Ghz with 2GB RAM and there is over
75% free disk space.
The Excel file was ony 275Kb in size.
Please Help
TIA
