Excel 2003 Multiple levels of subtotals appear in wrong order.

In Excel 2003, when subtotalling a list by multiple fields, the subtotals can
appear in the wrong order. First one is correct, but subsequent invoices are
in wrong order. Example:

Rate
766739 6/29/06 CALIFORNIA 100 2 150 15 2 Total 150 15
766739 6/29/06 CALIFORNIA 100 2.5 50 5 2.5 Total 50 5
