Excel 2003 Sheet Tabs Missing- Intermittently

I have several Excel 2003 users that are accessing a spreadsheet on our
intranet. These users explain that their sheet tabs (at the bottom) are
missing on a random basis. I’ve had them verify that have a checkmark in
Tools, Options, View; Sheet tabs.
