Excel 2007: filters dissapear and causes to crash

filters in a file keep dissapearing ramdomly and sometimes it causes excel to
crash. This file has lots of formulas. the original file was created in excel
03(now converted to 07) and it didint have a problem for a about 3 months,
suddendly it started having issues. once the file was converted to 07, we
tried copying the sheets into a brand new 07 file but no luck. it keeps doing
the same.
