Excel Charts and Data to PowerPoint

Hello everyone! I'm working on a PP presentation using an Excel doc with
many different pages. Some pages have data and formatting and some pages are
charts. I've found the trick of holding down shift and selecting copy
picture while in Excel. It's not working with some of my pages in Exel that
are shrunk in page setup to 50-60%. Is there a way capture this data in PP
while keeping the formatting?
And how do I copy the charts over? Sorry if these are basic questions but I
am stumped. I've spent hours on it and hope that you guys can help me.

Highlight the portion you want in the spreadsheet and copy, then in
Powerpoint, select "edit"..."paste special"...then "Microsoft Excell
Worksheet Object".
