Excel Help - Please!

A formula results in a blank result - even when there should be a value
(referenced cells contain numbers). This problem is intermittent, but once
it occurs, appears to be uncorrectable (have to start a new workbook from
scratch! Has anyone seen this and figured it out?

Yup, and everytime the numbers were formatted as text.
