Excel keeps select all columns itself, can not locate, can't use

When I move my mouse, Excel keeps select all aloumns it passes. I can not
locate at one single column, and also can not type, edit anything.

For starters, tap the wheel on your mouse quite hard, and see if the cursor
changes shape.

I am having this problem also. I have to go to another computer to work on
my spreadsheets. Any help would be appreciated. Also about the same time I
started experiencing this problem I'm having a general freeze up randomly and
I have to C-A-D and click task twice before it clears
