Excel Password cracker

Okay, for the second time in two months, someone in my company has
forgotten the password that they put on an Excel document. Does anyone
know of a quick program that will be able to either remove the password
or find the password?

I know years ago I used a program that would work almost instantly, but
I have since forgotten it's name. All the ones I seem to find anymore
use dictionary or brute force which take time.

"AdvancedxxxPasswordRecovery" programs? I didn't tried it either.

Actually I'm a bit curious. If you're using a password scheme that you think
it won't need a brute force/dictionary attack to crack it(See, it don't take
deep look to the program, I know the RAR one is brute force, but not sure
about the others. Yet the comments apply to any password protection that any
way other than brute force can crack it), why do you want to use it in the
beginning?

I DO like the Microsoft EFS style. Once the key is lost, and you don't have
a backup key, it's lost forever. I'd call that's TRUE security. :)

If your users trends to forget password, asking them to put the files in EFS
protected folder should be secure and convienent enough, isn't it?

What do others think?
