I am having difficulty finding the way to remove the background in pictures
inserted into PPT and Excel. Thee was a icon on the old drawing tool bar that
is not in the 2007 or i can't find it.
I have been using this since 95 and am lost without it. I cant make action
slides from pictures without this feature.
How do I do this now?

Jax,
It's a bit of a gamble but are you referring to the magic wand stick?
If that is the case, select the picture, under picture tools select format
tab, in the adjust group on the ribbon, click other recolor icon, you will
find the magic wand right at the bottom.
