Excel should allow for significantly more than 8 arguments in the.

Many times I have to create a logical function involving a lot of variables,
usually employee numbers. I can make my work so much easier if I can just
type in the 4 digits and watch the data appear rather than using the
primitive sheets of paper that I now use. I cannot believe that Excel allows
for only eight "IF" arguments in one logical formula.

Hi
in nearly all cases instead of using more than 8 IF statements you
could use for example a lookup (using VLOOKUP) table or an algorithm.
Just provide some details about what you're trying to achieve and
you'll probably get a working solution
