Having the same problem as RMV. It all started after
doing downloads from Microsoft site. Critical updates,
etc. including Analog Devices Media Driver, Virtual
Machine, DirectX 9.0b and VM Security Update.
Doesn't matter if anything else is loaded.
Have already uninstalled and reinstalled Excel.
Have reset virtual memory.
Have scanned entire system for viruses.
