Excel XP and File Links

I suddenly have a spreadsheet that when it is opened
it will open twice with the same name followed by a 1 and
a 2.
Using the find > workbook > formulas and looking for a
left [ which would be part of a linked file name to no
success in finding it.
I also tried sheet by sheet using ctrl + ~ which opens
all formulas on a sheet for auditing and went thru the
whole sheet carefuly and didnt find any reference in a
cell to a file name.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcome.

Xavier,

You might have several windows in the same file. If the title bar shows
something like Filename:1 and Filename:2, then that is what is happening.

Just close one of the windows by clicking on the Close Window Button (i.e.
the "X" button that closes a file, not the Excel Application).
