Excel XP crash

I have been experiencing a problem over the past couple of
weeks with Excel XP.

The problem is inconsistent, and ever so often when I

open one of my spreadsheets the following
message appears:

" Excel.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created". In the Log the following

appears: "Repair cell comments"
When I try to restart the program I still get the same
error message. The only way I find to recover the Excel
Click to expand...
spreadsheet is to open it in Excel 2000 and save it.
