Exchange 2000 and Entourage

I have one Mac client that upgraded from OS9 to OSX. She
was using Outlook in OS9. Now wants to use Entourage. I
have Exchange 2000. When she trys to connect, error says
IMAP server not found. I checked the Exchange server, and
see that IMAP service is running. What am I missing?

With ENtourage 10.1.5, you can connect to Exchange 2000 servers. It
goes through IMAP, but you don't configure it as an IMAP account (well
you could, but you loose some of the functions).

You need to enter the Exchange server for the account as well as the OWA
server for the free/busy server (eg: www.mywebmailserver.com/public).
You can also configure the LDAP access to make sure she can access the
global address book.

If you enter it like that, does it work ???

It didn't work. We get error message 3268. I'm confussed
on how to set up the account in IMAP. If you don't set it
up as an IMAP account, how do you set it up? We tried the
server name and the IP address. We also put in the OWA
server as mail.xxxxxxx.org, because it's internal.

Sorry, the error code is 3260, not 3268.

You don't set up the account as IMAP, you set it up as an Exchange
account:
Tools:Accounts:New:Exchange

The OWA server could be internal, it doesn't make much of a difference
(as long as you are connedted from the network), you still need to enter
it as:
mail.xxxxxxx.org/public

Yep, it makes sense then:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=824887

This problem occurs if any of the following conditions are true: e
ThExchange account is not configured correctly.

-or- There is a problem with the Microsoft Exchange server. For example,
either the Internet Message Access Protocol version 4 (IMAP4) or the
Microsoft Exchange Information Store services is not running.

-or- There is a network configuration problem that is preventing
communication with the Exchange server.
