Exchange 2003 & Calendar Sync Duplicates Appt...

J

I just got Entourage 2004 to sync with our new Exchange Server 2003! Now, I
am having duplicate Appointments every time I edit my calendar. For
instance, if I delete an appointment, it re-sync's and duplicates ALL
appointments. When I delete again, it replicates again for Triplets and so
on... It is not pretty.

I cannot find any settings that address this... Any ideas?

Thanks,
John

I fear one of the appointments is corruped and generates this mess. I
had the same thing a while ago and it was all generated because of an
old appointment...
It might be extemely tedious to find out which one generates the mess
though. It usually is a recurring event. I would delete them all (make
sure they're all deleted on the server itself) and re-enter them all to
make sure it's all clean,

Yikes... This is not encouraging :) I have about 2500 appointments. I am
synchronizing Entourage with my PocketPC as well. I turned the sync off and
the problem seems to have disappeared. I am now suspecting that is the
culprit. I will try going offline before sync'ing with it to see if that
works. Otherwise, I will clear out duplicates at home and then clear off
the PPC and start over there.

Thanks so much for the help!

See 'ya,

Good luck with that. I went through the entire process a couple of time
and I don't envy you :-(

You can try cleaning up from a PC using filters to selectively clean up
duplicates (and recurring events) though. That usually speeds up the
process.
