Exchange 5.5 difficulties

Hi all,
I've searched this newsgroup but couldn't find a step-by-step guide to
connect Entourage 2004 to Exchange 5.5. It doesn't matter what I entered in
the setup fields, I cannot connect to Exchange. My guess is my Mac cannot
see the Exchange server (Name: QT-WEB, IP: 192.168.0.203). I've tried
entering both the name and the IP address to no avail. (PS: I can
successfully ping the Exchange server, and can connect to its shared
resources fine.)

Entourage 2004 does not work with Exchange 5.5, only with 2000 and 2003.
That's because 5.5 does not use WebDAV which is how Entourage connects to
Exchange.

You can set up your mail account as IMAP in Entourage (you must get your IT
to enable IMAP for you too on the server), and then you'll have more or less
the same facilities as with Entourage 10.1.4-6. Just mail, though, no
contacts or calendar.

Got it. Thanks very much.
I already enabled IMAP, but I never thought to create an IMAP account in
Entourage. Now, I did, and it worked after 1st try. Thanks again.
