Exchange calendar and 10.1.4

10.1.4 overall works fine-receiving Exchange-based e-mail just as I had done
with Entourage before this update (via IMAP), although I now can see public
folders as well. So far, I have NOT been able to see other¹s calendars nor
view the global address book, but I suspect it requires more detail about
the LDAP server. Unfortunately, my network admin does not know of this, and
only knows the exchange server¹s address (which I know as well, since I get
my e-mail just fine.)

Any suggestions from those who have gotten this to work? Thanks!

We haven¹t been able to get the views of others¹ calendars to work either but
I CAN see our global address book.
Good.

Sort of. The Check Names button will go out and look at the global book but I
haven¹t been able to figure out how to actually see the entire book. I have
about ten geeks trying to figure this out but it seems like it is broken, yes?
Go to Tools -> Directory Services, click your Exchange account in the left
pane, and then try searching. Does it work?
The whole ability to see other calendars is pretty lame, isn¹t it? Am I
correct that you must create an event and then invite someone before you can
access their calendar by hitting the Schedules tab?
Yes, that¹s the only way according to the Help file.
Why didn¹t the Mac BU just put a little button to View Other Calendar in the
tool bar?
I don¹t know. Perhaps no one suggested it.
And can the toolbar be redesigned?
Can it be customized, you mean? No, it cannot.

These last two things are good suggestions. I encourage you to submit them
to Microsoft. In Entourage X, go to Help -> Send Feedback on Entourage.
Otherwise, click on this direct link to enter Mac Product Feedback:

As Mickey correctly pointed out, you can search the GAL. You can¹t browse
the entire GAL in Entourage.
