Mac OS X.3 with Entourage with the latest update are
installed connecting to an Exchange 2000 server. We are
unable to find Exchange distribution groups.

Also, we cannot list all the users in the global address
book. only the local address book entries appear.

Can you assist.

You need to use an LDAP server to access the GAL. Make sure you have one
created in Tools:Accounts:Directory Service. Then you can access it via
Tools:Directory Services. Also if you set it as your default directory
service, you can "Check Names" when addressing a message against this
server.

Is there an entry in the FAQ that specifically details how to set this
up?

(Other than simply #5 in <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/exchange_server.html>
which states rather obviously: "What is the LDAP server? This is also
known as the Active Directory Global Catalog (or GC). This is used to
look up people's addresses.")
