I am hoping that someone can provide some information on this. I am trying
to find a setting or script or tool that will allow Entourage single sign on
capabilities. Or at a minimum sync it¹s password with the users domain
account.

To explain, here is the ³problem²
A user logs onto a windows 2003 file server and is given the ability to
change there password. Our users are forced to change passwords every 60
days. After successfully changing there password there Entourage will give
them an error in regards to there ID and password. The user or help desk
then has to go through the rat maze of button clicks and menu items to then
change there Entourage password to match there new Domain account password.

There has got to be an automated method of handling this simple process.

Any pointers would be helpful, heck this might even be a part of the new
version. We are currently using ver.10.1.4 of Entourage. And Exchange
Server ver. 2000 sp2

Thanks
Greg

Unfortunately, no. Entourage has no way of knowing the new password
automatically.
I have a similar setup here and when I change my password (I do it through
the Mac using the Microsoft UAM services) I know I'll have to change the
apssword in Entourage as well. Entourage is just a mail client here.

In Windows, you use the password to access your session on the computer as
well. That's how Outlook "knows" the password, it simply uses the session
password. The Mac does not use the network sessions and therefore cannot
"send" the password to Entourage.

I am aware that there is no internal solution to this through Entourage. I
should have specified that. But are there or is there any way to achieve
that same goal with a script or tool of any kind.

Thank you for your input.

I doubt it. MS UAM is great but for instance (at least on my Mac) it refuses
to save the password to the keychain. That could have been an option though:
change the password through UAM, save it to the keychain and run a script
that duplicates it for e-mails :-\
