Exchange/Entourage error

We've got a couple of users running Entourage 2004 SP1 against our Exchange
2003 SP1 server. One of them intermittently gets an errors saying "Mail
could not be received at this time. The server for account <XXX> returned
the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your
username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to
try re-entering your password?" No/Yes.

If he hits no, it will eventually work on the next sync. If he hits yes, he
can type his password, hit "Save Password" and it works, too. The account is
completely fine as far as we can tell, but this pops up once or twice a day
for him. None of the other Entourage people are experiencing this at all.
All Entourage users are syncing with the same Exchange 2003. Any ideas?

As far as we can tell (same clients/same server) it happens when the
Exchange server is busy handling high loads of mail. We've even seen
the same problem on some PC Outlook clients, when things get really
bad.

At the moment, we're passing through these problems to Microsoft and I
recommend that you do too.

Why go through the hassle of calling it in?
Well, fyi, 90% of our Mac support calls are now solely down to
Entourage and almost all of our prepaid Microsoft support "incident"
tickets have been squandered on strange bugs in MS Entourage. While
it's made great strides since v. X, Entourage 2004 is not yet ready for
production usage. We need to push this back to MS, imo. I can't believe
we're the only compnay with this problem.
