Exchange public folders

I just connected Entourage to my exchange server. In
addition to the inbox, sent mail, etc. I have a folder
called "public folders" but the public folders on my
exchange server are not within. Can I set up Entourage
to see the public folders on my exchange server? Thanks

Sure. For this to work, though, you have to make sure that you have the
correct server name in the "Public folders server" field of the Advanced
page of the Exchange account properties dialog. In most cases, this will
be the same as the name of your Exchange server, plus "/public" (e.g. if
your server is named fireball.yourcompany.com, you'd put
"fireball.yourcompany.com/public" in that field).

Once that's done, when you select "Public Folders" from the folder list,
you'll see a list of all public folders on the server. You can then
subscribe to individual folders using the toolbar buttons.

Cheers,
-Paul

OK, I tried that. Made sure everything was exactly
right and I still can't see the public folders. Any
ideas? Thanks again.

Be very very patient. If you have the right server name, it might take
10 to 15 minutes to start showing the folder list. At least that's what
happened on my machine. I've heard others saying it took a half hour or
more. Once the list has shown up, DON'T double-click on a folder to open
it. On my machine that just makes the folder list disappear, after which
it takes another loonngg while to show up again. Instead, single-click
to select the desired folder and then subscribe to it (button above).
