1. The public folders show up on the left, but all the calendars appear as
mail documents, and not as calendars which pretty much makes that feature
useless.
You must have a problem in your configuration. I suspect you did not
setup the Free/busy server properly. You should use the same server as
the server used for webmail access on your Exchange server and add
/public to it, eg:
my.webmailserver.com/public
2. None of the addresses (which are frequently updated) do not appear in my
OSX address book and/or don't show up as contacts when I try to send a
message.
Synchronization between the system address book and Excahnge is only
possible in MacOS X.3. You have to set up the exchange server from the
Address book app and use iSync to synchronize.
Once again, if the Free/busy server is set up properly, then ENtourage
will beb able to synchronize your personal address book with the server
as well.
3. The same is true with OSX "mail" app. I would love to use OSX mail and
OSX calendar as my defaults, but I thought entourage was supposed to work
better with exchange server and Panther. I have a feeling this was just
hype. I hope not!
Mail (from MacOS 10.3) can get your mail from Exchange the same way
Entourage does: Through IMAP. It works quite well for me.
Ical does not synchronize with Exchange (as far as I know anyway).
