Exchange Synchronisation

Hi,

Anyone got the new exchange synchronisation to work yet?

The e-mail is working fine. The Calendar directory looks like an e-mail
folder, so instead of loading into the calendar, it comes up as if it were a
list of e-mails. Is anyone else getting this?

Cheers

Nick

Yes, but I'm getting it with contacts in public folders. From what it looks
like, it will only synchronize with the correct type of display for the item
in the top level folders. My contacts folder in my mailbox appears fine,
but public folders that contain contacts all appear as e-mails and do not
display all of the information.

I'm getting this exact same thing.

Thanks ... But I am not really sure what this means ...

The calendar "folder" and the mail inbox are all at the top level of the
exchange user account. The calendar folder wouldn't be a public folder if it
is my own calendar accessed via my user login ...

So ... What is broken if the calendar doesn¹t recognise the correct folder?

You need to be running at least Exchange server 2000 with SP3 to get more
than basic IMAP mail functions. This is clearly spelled out in the 'System
Requirements'

Yes, It's a BUG. :(

It works for me. It seems that Entourage is not synching immediately
though. The first time the application synched my address book to the
Exhcnage server, it actually did it as I quit the application and it
took for ever... I originally thought the application was frozen. From
what I can tell, the application synchs from time to time (not very
scientific, right :-> ) and especially as it quits.
Anyway as Paul Berkowtiz mentioned in another thread, WebDAV has to be
enabled ont he Exchange server. Do you know if it is the case for you
???

What's a bug? That WebDAV has to be enabled? No, that's not a bug - that's a
specified minimum requirement. Or you DO have WebDAV enabled and you're
still having problems? That's not a bug either, since other people are
managing fine. It must be a problem with your set-up.

Please see the thread "Entourage 10.1.4 for Exchange - some answers" for
some details that might help.

I'm talking about a calendar in a public folder on the network. One that is
accessible in Outlook 2001 (MAC OS 9) and no longer can be viewed as a
calendar in Entourage X with the outlook update. If you know how it can,
then please let us know. Otherwise it's a bug.

Thanks.
