One of my users gets a very frequent (doesn;t match his synchronization
settings rate) status box on his scrren every thime Entourage syncs
with the Exchange server. The box pops up in the background - displays
a status bar and quickly dissappears when the sync is complete - only
to reappear every 30 to 40 seconds or so. Not sure how to stop this -

Thanks.

I don't know if this is the same thing or not - I'm not on an Exchange
system. If your user is clicking the red X button to dismiss Entourage from
the desktop when it's not actively in use, have him minimize it (the yellow
dash button) instead.

I get a similar notification from Entourage if I've 'quit' it instead of
minimizing it.

Bring the app to the front, get to the "Progress" window and close it.
That shoudl do the trick. Otherwise, when I hide Entourage instead of
minimizing it or simply closing the main window, I usually don't have
this problem.
